- Optional feedback messages and optional email addresses when users submit them.
What we do not collect
- No payment information is collected by SkinLayer.
- No medical records, diagnoses, or prescription history are requested by SkinLayer.
- No account is required to browse the site or use the checker.
How usage data is used
Query events help us understand which ingredient pairs users search most, which combinations still lack reviewed pages, and which product surfaces receive real clicks.
Optional feedback helps us spot unclear verdicts, missing explanations, and high-priority pages to improve next. Optional email addresses are only used when a user chooses to include one with feedback.
We use this information for internal product improvement, content prioritization, and basic affiliate performance analysis. We do not claim that these signals are medical data or clinical outcomes.
Affiliate disclosure
Some pages include optional outbound Amazon links. SkinLayer may earn from qualifying purchases as an Amazon Associate.
Affiliate links do not determine the verdict. Pair answers, safety language, and routine guidance are separated from commerce and are intended to reflect the evidence layer first.
Current affiliate links open Amazon search result pages rather than promising one fixed ranked product recommendation.
Feedback and contact data
If you submit feedback through SkinLayer, you may optionally provide a message and email address. Please avoid sending sensitive medical information through that form.
Feedback is meant for product improvement, content clarification, and error reporting. It is not a channel for diagnosis, treatment advice, or urgent care.
